Teachers find the program valuable in assessing students and personalizing education, resulting in successful outcomes for both the classroom as a whole and individual students. The software helps teachers identify areas of weakness and mastery in learning objectives, allowing for immediate re-teaching and more effective strategies. Its flexibility enables the creation of individualized math problems and group assignments, catering to students' ability levels.

Students appreciate the immediate feedback provided by Renaissance Accelerated Math, finding it helpful for review and interventions. The program is utilized school-wide to some extent, offering practice, differentiation, and data-driven instruction. District-wide implementation allows for understanding of standards and growth monitoring through quarterly STAR tests. Within the program, teachers can provide additional practice for students with weaknesses while challenging those who show advanced skills. At various grade levels, Renaissance Accelerated Math is used to differentiate math instruction through small/large group instruction and topic-based differentiation. Teachers utilize the program to identify areas of math weakness and create individualized math practice for each student. In elementary schools across the district, the program supplements the existing curriculum by providing enrichment for quick learners and remediation for struggling students. Renaissance Accelerated Math is a purchase choice by the school in our county. Accelerated Math is a program that is used for math practice for students and can be individualized to each student, group, or the whole class. It helps target and identify areas of math weakness in students and gives teachers the ability to create individualized math practice for every student.
  • AM allows teachers to individually assign math practices to every student based on their needs.
  • AM is supported by STAR assessments, which give teachers their students' areas of weakness.
  • Student math practices are outdated and boring for students.
  • Some of the practice strands are too hard in the beginning for struggling students.
Accelerated Math is based on the ease of printing worksheets. In the past, that is what was done due to less technology. Now with most schools having access to technology, Accelerated Math seems old and outdated to students who are used to flashy graphics. Accelerated Math is great for assigning individual practice and targeting specific standards for any grade level.
  • Accelerated Math is easy to individualize and assign to students to help with remediation.
  • Students in middle school do not buy into AM for a number of reasons. This makes it hard to see the value of the cost of AM.
Renaissance has great videos and articles in their help section. They also have an online user community that has great discussions about using their products, access to free webinars, and great tips. They have the honor roll program/challenge to help users track their progress and talk to other users for ideas and tips. Most one-on-one help comes from our instructional facilitators in our county.

We have AM for every classroom grades 3 and up. Virtually no one, however, actually uses it. The thinking behind providing it was to accelerate student growth in math, but it's no good without the lesson cards which were never purchased.
  • It has plenty of practice.
  • The questions are in a language students can understand.
  • They are multiple-choice, so feedback is quick.
  • It's way too labor-intensive for the teacher.
  • If students already know how to do the problem, they haven't gained anything.
  • If students don't know how to do the problem, there is no instruction or support for them.
It really is just like giving the kids busywork, but it's super labor-intensive for the teacher. It is a huge headache to align it to the curriculum.
  • Big waste of money since no one uses it consistently.
  • Big waste of time because of the management.
  • Students show no gains from using it.
The kids like Prodigy, but HATE Accelerated Math. The teacher interface is much easier to use in Prodigy.
All Renaissance products are well-supported.

Renaissance Accelerated Math is a program used by several of the school campuses in my district to help students with various concepts presented throughout the school year. Teachers are able to control the content that the student has access to as well as the amount of practice the student needs to complete to the given tasks. This program allows students to constantly practice their math skills throughout the year with a spiral review. The program also offers data for the teachers to be able to better guide instruction and aid in the construction of intervention groups.
  • Progress monitoring.
  • Intervention assistance.
  • Excellent customer support.
  • I would like to see different fonts offered for students who have vision issues.
I have used this program for the past 11 years with my students as a means to offer a spiral review throughout the year and allow them to increase their overall understanding of various concepts. I also use the program as an intervention tool for those who struggle, as well as an enrichment tool for those who are ready to move forward and be challenged.
  • Improves student retention of concepts.
  • Offers both intervention and enrichment materials.
  • Multiple versions of concepts.

We use Accelerated Math to help supplement our current curriculum. It provides us with the opportunity to provide enrichment for those students who quickly master skills in the traditional curriculum. It also provides for the chance to provide remediation for those students who are struggling with previously taught skills and concepts.
  • Self-directed learning for the student.
  • Quick feedback for the student.
  • Provides additional practice when needed.
  • Multiple formats of questions so it does not become stale.
  • Repetitive in nature, which can cause students to lose interest.
Accelerated Math is well suited for classrooms with students at multiple stages of mastery with different standards. It is also a great tool to be used in a special education resource classroom that provides instruction for students from multiple grades at the same time. I appreciate the ease of being able to contact customer service and receive quick responses.
  • Our students have made tremendous gains in the mastery of skills.
  • Our classes are showing growth way beyond what we saw when using our standard curriculum alone.
  • Once it is set up and students are comfortable with it, they are able to use it as a self-directed learning station.
Having used programs such as FrontRow, Moby Max, and iXL, we prefer Accelerated Math as it ties in with our STAR testing and state testing performance targets. We like that students are able to work on it with little direction from the teacher once it is set up. We also appreciate the ability and ease to track student performance and growth within the program.

It works well with our other Renaissance programs and provides familiarity for our teachers to be more willing to use it and be able to understand the reports and progress.
We would definitely follow the same process and choose Accelerated Math again.
If there is going to be an outage for service, Renaissance does a great job of communicating that well in advance to allow the faculty to plan accordingly.
It is consistently available with outages planned and communicated well in advance. The outages also seem to be planned to provide the least disruption to teachers.
It is easy to use and understand. Students have no difficulty finding their way around, and teachers easily understand the reports and data.

Renaissance Accelerated Math (AM) is a favorite resource for the 2nd-5th-grade students whom I teach. This year our county adopted and mandated a new math program. Our school voted to purchase AM, which has proven results as demonstrated by our testing scores. AM is wonderful because it provides the practice that students need. Other resources teach the concept and provide a few problems. AM has proven itself valuable by allowing me to provide students with review and interventions that are not available to my students through any other resources. Personally, I like the flexibility that the program provides. I can individualize math problems or I can assign the same concept for groups of students to work on together. This flexibility allows students to work at their ability level, which is very important. Most importantly, the students enjoy the immediate feedback they receive as they work through their lessons. I enjoy having the data that informs me of their individual needs. AM is a win for us all!
  • Quick and easy access to data reports.
  • Immediate student feedback.
  • Individualized instruction.
  • The opportunity to work independently or in group settings on the same problems.
  • The flexibility of printing assignments or providing online work.
  • I'd like students to see their growth per standard that they've passed. Perhaps in the form of a visual like a collection of ribbons.
It's great for practice but not as good as other programs with lessons that support students when they get into trouble. I'd prefer a video to pop up for students to review when they bomb a particular practice. I'd like them to watch the video and then do the lesson again. After that, if they need help they should come to me. That is one thing I like better about Moby Math. I also like Moby better at identifying and providing missing skills that are below grade level. With Renaissance Accelerated Math, I have to separate students into a variety of banks. That is time-consuming and may not specifically target all the skills that a student needs or does not require.
  • Thanks to the practices, exercises, and tests, by end of year 85% of my students will be on grade level or above and those who struggle will make significant growth.
  • I like that I can quickly assess and fix misconceptions with a quick print out of a couple of problems.
I like the support I receive with Renaissance Accelerated Math. I like that I can quickly and easily print the problems I need for interventions. I like the hands-on lessons with Engage but it is too scripted for my tastes. I gave up on I-Ready years back because it was too complex. I still use Moby for filling in gaps. I use Study Island for my higher students after they work through Renaissance Accelerated Math.
  • Easy to identify students who need interventions for a particular topic.
  • Easy to assign lessons for students to collaborate.
  • Easy to run a Status of the Class to see who has work outstanding.
  • Easy to run a diagnostic to see which students have attained mastery.
  • While I can see students who mastered a skill, I can't easily see if they received 4/5 (80%) or 5/5 (100%).
  • I can't pull up a targeted skill and run a report on those who did/did not achieve mastery along with their pass/fail rate.
  • I can't generate a a practice and run the practice with the same problems for multiple classes.
I use this program regularly and the students really like it despite having some issues I'd like to see improved.
